Zhang Shuhua: The preparation of “Sejarah Kulit Cina” is the long-cherished wish of many practitioners in many industries. At the end of the 1990s, many leather workers, especially the older generation of experts and scholars, suggested to the China Leather Industry Association that they should write a history of Chinese leather to record and summarize the trend of China’s leather industry from weak, backward and inefficient. The great achievements of the world’s major leather countries.
At that time, the association also organized a writing team and drafted an outline. I remember that at that time, I also had exchanges with the current academician Shi Bi of Sichuan University, Vice President Ma Jianzhong of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, and Luo Genghui, the chief engineer of Beijing Leather Company, and got their support.
